Bridges and Bonn
To fill the obvious void of meaningful music in
today's tween/teen market, Bridges and Bonn
offer up Truth Be Told; a magical
assortment of thought provoking, often irreverently
humorous radio-friendly tunes presented by fresh
young voices.
Each Truth Be Told CD will spotlight a
number of new artists. Since an abundance of
material is already recorded, Lessia and Isabelle
will facilitate incorporating chosen singers into
already established tracks.
Truth Be Told CDs can easily piggy-back
into video games, apps, holiday CDs, a book series,
TV and film. The sky's the limit!
TESTIMONIALS.
Isabelle Bridges Boesch
Isabelle Bridges, oldest daughter of Oscar award
winning actor Jeff Bridges, has been teaching yoga
to all ages for many years. Her company, Cool
Karma Kids, helps young people in the San
Francisco Bay Area develop strong, flexible bodies,
deep healthy breathing, and focused peaceful minds.
She also regularly travels with her father to
present talks on socially engaged Buddhism.
Isabelle is active in a variety of civic and
cultural organizations including Doctors Without
Borders, YogaKids, the Art of Yoga
Project, and the Fighting Back
organization.
Before joining
forces with Lessia Bonn, Izzy had searched (often in
vain) for songs to play during her classes that
would help instill healthy living and thinking into
her students. She often noted she was not alone in
her struggle to find quality faire as she constantly
bumped into other teachers and frustrated parents
caught in the same endless search.
Now that this dynamic duo have come together,
Isabelle and Lessia are skillfully producing
material to fill the void; creating mindful
mainstream music
that speaks to all ages, that can be enjoyed while
driving around in the family van, doing yoga,
anywhere or anytime a person or entire family just
wants to be uplifted. Being surrounded by young
people and their families on a daily basis gives
Isabelle a unique perspective and the great
opportunity to witness what works within family
dynamics and what does not. And what she gleans she
pours right into Bridges and Bonn.
Outside of
professional interests, Isabelle travels widely,
reads, writes, does yoga, and enjoys living in
Oakland with her own family and dog.
When Isabelle was little, some serious medical
issues cropped up in her young life making her
childhood experiences quite different than that of
the average kid. The bright side? These experiences
taught her from a very early age how truly important
it is to be sensetive to other people's foibles and
dilemmas and also, how it's so very important to stay centered and true to
oneself. She caught on that life is unpredictable;
it can be full of unusual surprises. She also fell
in love with yoga and music because they both
centered her when she was stressed and kept her
sane. That's why she now adores teaching yoga to
young and not-so-young kids and feels music is a
vital component to her classes. More details on the
Cool Karma Kids page
Lessia Bonn
Lessia Bonn has been
penning songs for and producing gifted young singers
for many years. On her roster; Viva Gore (dad's
Martin Gore of Depeche Mode), Jessie
Bridges (middle daughter of actor, Jeff) and Rachel
Sand, a young actor sharing a manager with Hillary
Duff. Lessia recently served as
songwriting/producing consultant helping create the
award-winning up-and-coming rock band Loomis and
the Lust (MTV/Billboard magazine). She has
co-produced material along-side Alan Thicke for
Alan's son, R&B singer Robin Thicke. Her current
focus is an exciting new website;
www.IamBullyproofMusic.org which provides
teachers with an empowerment through music program
for their students. Thought inspiring songs and
classroom discussion are offered up--aimed at
helping young people become more bully-resistant and
also kinder and gentler themselves.
For years Lessia served as songstress, ringleader
and informal guru to a giant Santa Barbara crew of
tweens and teens knicknamed Vocals By
Locals. (see
www.vocalsbylocals.com). She
also created and produced the
popular SBTV show Enlightenment Stew--a
delightful mix of Laugh In, common sense
and Zen.
On the side, Lessia consults for entertainers
helping them refine their songwriting and vocal skills-- her most
amusing client so far being David Rasche of
Sledge Hammer. Her Christmas tune Flicker
Little Candle is a holiday favorite in schools
thoughout the country. Girl's Inc. continally uses
Lessia's material for their tween pop choirs
("the kids want to sing nothing else!") seeing
as it so naturally reflects the organzation's point
of view.
Now based in northern California, Lessia continues
to produce and record young singers, penning them
tunes with titles like Fearless, Whatever,
and Johnny Depp. Her catchy commercial
material is packed with intriguing observations,
irreverent humor and an abundance of heart.
BACK STORY: Lessia was a child prodigy with perfect pitch.
Receiving her entire musical education on full
scholarship, she won a city-wide essay contest at
ten, a state-wide talent contest at eleven, and
soloed with her first symphony orchestra at twelve.
While still a tween, her lyric poetry was chosen to
be published in a national magazine. Choosing
Curtis Institute over Julliard because
it was more intimate, Lessia was awarded a grand
piano of her choice for simply gaining admittance.
Her songs became so popular at the school she became
the only contemporary singer/songwriter to this day
asked to perform her material on the school's
reknowned classical stage.
While searching out new talent in LA, The Larry
Thompson Organization discovered Lessia.
Deciding to sign her immediately referring to her as
"the entire package" the powers that be renigged
when they got to know her better. "You're simply too
happy" was their complaint. "You're not driven."
Fair enough. Lessia has always been easy-going about
her talents. Producing and writing for other people,
especially young people, gives her much more
pleasure than just fiddling with her own fingers and
toes. As a producer and writer for others she pens
the song, creates the arrangement, puts down the
keyboard parts, sings most the back-up vocals and
then makes her singers sound amazing. Her vocal
coaching style has been compared to that of the
famed Seth Riggs. She adores her work.
I've got my own personal Yodah!
A steady stream of young people approach Lessia every day with pockets full of youthful
dilemmas. This creates a unique environment in which
Lessia gets a huge window into tween and teen
hearts, souls and minds. So this is how it's done...
* Scribble helpful wisdoms into a catchy tune.
* Feed to kids.
* Instant healthy new thinking.
The truth be told!
